The Eternals cast and crew have left Lanzarote; it was mentioned that many flew in via Stansted Airport on Saturday! One of Richard’s friends reported on social media that he had encountered Richard in London, also on Saturday; my favourite and much adored man is back in town! J Y J Y J Y J There is proving to be a ‘lock-down’ by Marvel on photos and selfies with anyone other than fellow cast or crew whilst filming of Eternals continues; this obviously includes Richard, much to the annoyance of some fans and admirers! People need to realise it’s not all about them; I’m sure Richard will be only too pleased to oblige once filming is over. A ‘little birdie’ has told me that Richard is due to attend the Royal Premiere of 1917, which takes place in London on Wednesday 04 December … that’s exciting news, especially as myself, a friend and said ‘little birdie’ applied for tickets for the actual Premiere, as opposed to the Charity Gala screenings which are due to take place the same evening, and were successful!!! Director Sam Mendes and actor Mark Strong are engaged to give an introduction at the two Gala events. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are going to attend the Royal Premiere. Although having admitted I’m attending, from previous experience of Royal Premieres back in 1981 and 1984, it’s not always guaranteed one will lay eyes upon the stars of the movie! So, fingers crossed, we will see Richard … and at least we won’t have to suffer the pushing and shoving which occurs in the crowd pens! Not to mention the hardships of queuing for the crowd pens too ... especially in December!!! The film has been given excellent reviews following previews … one critic said it was Richard’s best performance yet … despite being on screen for approximately three minutes! My friend Ruth and I went to see Harry Birrell Presents Films of Love and War yesterday, at the Gatehouse Cinema in Notting Hill, London, W11; this was the second time I’d seen it. It was the final showing with a Q & A afterwards, on this occasion with both Harry’s granddaughter Carina and Director Matt Pinder doing the honours. We enjoyed it; who wouldn’t when Richard is the diary narrator! Harry Birrell Presents is due to be aired on the BBC during the next couple of months (having provided finance for the project); it will also be available on DVD. We travelled home via the London Coliseum in St Martin’s Lane, where the Evening Standard Theatre Awards were held yesterday evening, just in case we saw anyone in the crowd pens we knew; we saw a handful of familiar faces, but not anyone to speak to. Taron Egerton was to present one of the awards, but we decided not to stay to see the stars arrive. Richard attended last year and presented an award too.

Further news has arrived, since Monday, that many of the Eternals cast (and presumably Richard included) have indeed left Fuerteventura … but not to return to the UK as mentioned by one source … they have travelled over to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote to film: 19 November 2019 – a translated news article: The filming of Marvel's 'Los Eternos' moves to Lanzarote to film near the Cuervo Volcano The producer of the film, starring Angelina Jolie, is authorized by the City of Tías to shoot in the area of the Camino del Guaco from Wednesday to Sunday, November 24. After several weeks shooting in Fuerteventura, Marvel's 'Los Eternos' team, a film starring Angelina Jolie, will move to Lanzarote, where several scenes will be filmed near the Cuervo Volcano. Specifically, the City Council of Tías has given its authorization to the producer to shoot in the area of the Camino del Guaco from this Wednesday to Sunday, November 24, a path that has also been promoted by the Consistory. Actors Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kit Harrington, Kumail Nanjiani and Lauren Ridloff, among others, is also part of the cast of this film. Both the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Minister of Tourism Promotion of the Cabildo, Ángel Vázquez, have highlighted the importance of this shoot for the promotion of the island of Lanzarote. The Cuervo Volcano (which translates as the Raven Volcano – pictured above right) is an amazing place, and other reports on social media suggest a huge fight scene is due to be filmed tomorrow and Friday, requiring many extras and stunt doubles! It was also mentioned, in very early news reports from the Canaries, that scenes would be filmed at the Emerald Pool at El Golfo on the west coast of Lanzarote; so presumably these are still to come. Anyway, fingers crossed that Richard can make it to London for Wednesday 04 December, for the Royal Premiere of 1917 … as it will make me and other fans very happy! In the meantime, Richard has arranged for his ‘Addams Family’ Halloween skeleton to be sent home to the UK ‘for Christmas’. I’d love to be Richard’s Morticia, if he’d be my Gomez! Y Y Y And, last but not least, many congratulations to Taron Egerton and Rocketman who have been nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The Award Ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on 26 January 2020.

It’s still very quiet, as filming of the Eternals continues, with no photographs to publish today. Fans are being discouraged from approaching the cast members, so I guess it’s not surprising! However, Richard did post two videos on his Instagram stories, last Thursday 14 November ... This is the view as he’s driven to the film location on Fuerteventura: https://twitter.com/i/status/1194902552556388352 And the sunset as he’s driven back to his hotel, after filming has finished for the day: https://twitter.com/i/status/1195043883551535105 A number of cast members left Fuerteventura at the end of last week, and a news source has reported that Richard is due to leave the island tomorrow, Tuesday. He was also spotted aboard a ferry this weekend, which runs between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura; he was returning to the latter! It’s nice to get out and about when not filming! There were paparazzi photographs of Richard and his Publicist returning from a shopping expedition, which surfaced online early last week, but I won’t show those. Happy Birthday Taron Egerton 30 today! Taron has been celebrating his birthday with friends today ... he is pictured here with fellow Welshman Gareth Scourfield (aka @Stylegazer1), who styles both Taron and Richard for their public appearances. And I’m sure Richard would have received an invite, had he not been on film location in the Canaries at the present time. With Rocketman in mind ... here is another video (discovered on YouTube on 07 November 2019) ... I’m in this one too ... my friend Tanya and I missed out, but facebook friend Graeme was blessed by Richard with a selfie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l23F4DhWDFM As just mentioned, Richard is currently filming Marvel Eternals ... which involves working out each day, for his role as Ikaris; Ikaris is described as a soldier. Richard posted this photo on his IG stories on Friday; the 4 a.m. start suggests he was filming that day ... and I was kind of hoping a few covert photographs of the cast would surface, featuring Ikaris ... but I’ve not spotted any yet on social media L The cartoon potato is a reference to the fact that Richard still sees himself as a ‘potato’, due to him being overweight as teenager. I find it sad, because he’s naturally very slim and very beautiful. His body shape has changed now that he is working out every day, but he’s still extremely attractive J

Photographs of Angelina surface regularly; this weekend she attended the Fuerteventura Kite Festival, along with Lauren Ridoff who plays Makkari. It has been explained, by Richard’s Spanish fans, that he’s not well-known in Iberia ... and this must include the Canary Islands; hence the lack of sightings. If reports are correct, following 12 days of filming in Fuerteventura, at some point this week, the location moves to Lanzarote for a few days. However, a number of sets in Fuerteventura are described as incomplete, so I expect them to return to the island when they’ve finished filming on location in Lanzarote!

A belated Happy Halloween! Richard loves Halloween ... and he posted this video in his Instagram stories last week ... https://twitter.com/i/status/1189834103941668864 Angelina Jolie rented a room at the hotel where the cast and crew of Eternals are staying, on Fuerteventura, to host a Halloween party for more than 500 of the production staff. This is Richard’s party costume (left), alongside one he wore in 2017:
And Gemma Chan, who chose a Pulp Fiction theme, is starring as the Eternal character Sersi; she was caught having a cigarette break with Richard ... presumably he was vaping and passive smoking too ... and just look at those skeleton gloves!
There was news last week that the movie 1917 will have a Royal Premiere in London on Wednesday 04 December, in aid of the Film and TV Charity. I wonder if Richard will have returned from location in the Canary Islands by then and, if so, will he attend ... by Royal command!!! The filming of Eternals is not expected to end until January.
