those you love, and with lots of ‘unboxing’ of presents too!

As I’d arranged for a tradesperson to do some work
at home today, I was up early with no planned excursions … so when he phoned
at 09:00 this morning to postpone the work until tomorrow, I still had no
plans … which has encouraged me to do a few hours’ work on my website! I walked yesterday, in the morning heat, to the
City Centre to do some shopping – so at least that’s my exercise for the
weekend covered. And I couldn’t resist buying six more fuchsias –
two hardy ones (Southgate and Delta Sarah) and four Bella fuchsias (Lisa, Sacha, Soila and Susanna). I’ve already purchased Nikita (x 3) and Mariska ‘Bella’ fuchsias this season. Bella Fuchsia
| Garden plant with distinctive flowers in various colours I owned varieties Hilda, Lydia, Sophia, Julia,
and Susanna last year … I think they all died, being non-hardy – Lydia, Julia
and Sophia definitely did, but I’m not sure about Hilda and 2022’s Susanna,
as I have 10 yet-to-be-identified plants from last summer! Once they bloom, I
will label them. I had 6 Auntie Jinks last year, so it’s possible
one or two may have survived. I’m hoping for a Blackie or two, and maybe one
or two Hawkshead variety. The 2021 Heidi Ann, General Monk, Maria Landy and Delta Sarah survived. I lost around 50% this
winter, as it was harsher than the previous winter. I’ve bought 5 new Auntie Jinks variety, as
‘plugs’; these were delivered on
Friday, so are still recovering from their journey via the postal service!
They are one of my favourites, as are Blackie. Other ones new for 2023 are Snowcap
(hardy), Dollar Princess (hardy), Winston Churchill, Ringwood Market, Display
(allegedly hardy – although I’ve lost three of these in the past), Annabel,
and Paula Jane. It will
therefore come as no surprise that I was out in the garden at 7:00 this
morning, planting the new fuchsias in larger pots! Anyway,
back to Richard … I’m sure
I’ve seen more interviews than I’ve added links for … so the Citadel (series
1) filmography may still be a work in progress! It also
appears that, instead of updating the Eternals filmography section, I
concentrated on my blog entries for the 2021 movie … so that’s another
project which needs to be kick-started! |

BEWARE OF POSSIBLE
SPOILERS!
A scene from Episode 6 of Citadel: Bernard Orlick (Stanley
Tucci) and Mason Kane (Richard Madden) on the foreshore of the River Thames (close to
Tower Bridge and Butlers Wharf) The sixth and final episode of Citadel was
released on Prime on Friday 26 May so, if you haven’t watched it yet, you can
now go binge! Having found out who Asha was, in episode 5 … no
surprise … we found out who the Citadel traitor was in episode 6 … again no
surprise … and, although I hadn’t put forward a theory about Dahlia Archer in
my blog … that was no surprise either … my friend had suggested it as far
back as episode 3 … and it had already become blatantly obvious whilst
watching episode 5 … Lots of questions remain unanswered … but it has
been officially announced that Citadel has been renewed for a second series –
with Joe Russo directing although, disappointingly, the filming will be based
in California now, plus locations. Okay, questions for starters: How did Kyle (Mason) come into contact with Abby
(Celeste), in Springfield, Oregon? Young Mason lived with his grandmother in
Springfield, and had arranged for Abby to be relocated there having been
backstopped … but why did Kyle relocate there having been backstopped
following the train accident in Italy – he had no memory, and no-one knew who
he was? And why did no-one know him in
Springfield … unless he left when still very young? But maybe he had written
the address in his fake passport? Has Abby really lost her memory? The backstop process was in its infancy when she
was backstopped – did it fail, or maybe only work for a short period? Mason
didn’t sound very convincing, when he told Nadia that it was impossible for
Abby’s (Celeste Graham’s) memories to be restored when she was backstopped.
But, regardless, her memories can be restored now, because the team found a
way to restore Mason’s memories despite his ‘memory vial’ being damaged beyond repair. And how come Mason and Nadia are married? The opening scene suggested they might be, but
episode 5 suggested not … but with Mason Kane confirming they were during
episode 6 … although are they legally married, if they aren’t using their
real names! Nadia, Mason and the team don’t know that Bernard
Orlick is still alive … he was presumed dead, by
Kyle, after the shootout in episode 2 … It was disappointing not to see the scenes from
his life in Oregon as a fireman … in fact it wasn’t revealed that Kyle was a
fireman … they filmed scenes outside the fire station in Oxford …
And I’d like to see more of young Mason, to
understand why he became a Citadel spy. What is nature and what is nurture?
It became very blurred as his story unfolded … Other scenes or alleged scenes which didn’t make
it into the series were a night-time shoot which took place at the Fire
Service Training College in Moreton-in-Marsh,
another night-time shoot at an ‘American-style
gas station’ near Andover. Also the riot scenes shot in Birmingham, and
scenes at Harlaxton Manor near Grantham – Roland
Moller (Anders and Davik Silje)
posted a short video of these on his Instagram account once the series had
finished.
Harlaxton Manor And what was this all about, which Richard posted
back in March 2021? Did he go through this for nothing?
Having started the read-throughs in February 2021
and worked all the way through until mid-December 2021 … before undertaking
extensive reshoots in Spring 2022 (the final day was 18 June, Richard’s birthday)
… it was an awful lot of filming for just four hours of running time! Can or will they use some unused footage in
future flashbacks? Possibly … No wonder the budget wildly exceeded the initial
estimates! The Indian spin-off series is heading to Serbia
to shoot on location … and it’s been reported that the female star of that
show is playing Nadia’s mother, who was a Citadel agent …which suggests a ‘historical’ setting. With this in mind, and from the way that the
storylines are all intertwined, would it be wildly illogical of me to suggest
that Nadia’s mother played a part in the death of Mason’s father? In other words, Asha’s maternal grandmother
may be implicated in the death of her paternal grandfather. Anyway, this is lovely … Credit: SuperDit (YouTube) – POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!! Mason
& Nadia - True Love | CITADEL - YouTube Richard’s latest project, Killer Heat, is due to
finish filming in Crete this month … on 08 June possibly … There is a lot to update on this website
regarding Citadel, and I’m just beginning to ‘gear up’ again following the personal disappointment of not being
able to see Richard in real life when the press junket visited the UK in
April. Also I’ve
not felt 100% physically since January, so I’m not always feeling at my best
when I have spare time available to spend on my laptop, preferring to rest
instead. I’m still working over 40 hours each week, with additional hours
here and there when I’m supposed to be on annual leave, as well as acting as
a primary carer too. |
