Richard
has been as quiet as a church mouse this month … I hope everything is okay
with him, as he is often quiet these days, but not this quiet! Priyanka Chopra Jonas returned to the US the weekend
before last, to visit her husband Nick who is working in Cleveland. She also
visited New York last weekend, where she has involvement in a newly opened
restaurant, before returning to Cleveland.
Meanwhile, Stanley Tucci went on a road trip to Cornwall earlier this week … So I wonder if Citadel is taking a
short hiatus … Anyway
… There has been a short video, of
which this is a screenshot, which was posted by one of Priyanka’s
avid fans @jerryxmimi and, if you can’t quite make
out the scene which was shot under cover of darkness, it’s of explosions amongst
cars on a motorway … which is one of the scenes shot at the Fire Service
College in Moreton-in-Marsh at the end of May! The College has a section of ‘motorway’ built on site, to provide
realistic surroundings for the training of fire crews!
As
mentioned earlier in the month, permission has been sought for Citadel to
film in Valencia – locations mentioned being the City of Arts and Sciences,
Torres de Serrano, Palau de Malferit and Plaza del
Doctor Collado. The
Las Fallas … Festival of Fire … is due to take
place 01 September to 05 September, Covid
permitting, having been postponed from March.
Evidently
giant doll-like figures, known as ninots (often
resembling famous personalities), are paraded as part of the celebrations. At
the end of the event, the ninots are burnt on a
bonfire! So I’m
just wondering, if the characters from Citadel will find themselves caricatured,
making it a frightening ordeal for them?
Richard did, after all, undergo the process of having a cast of his head
made, back in late March, at the studios where Citadel is being filmed! And
there is news of the Indian version of Citadel too: Russo Brothers’ Amazon Multi-Series ‘Citadel’ India
Details Revealed Production on the India leg of the Russo Brothers’ keenly anticipated
multi-series “Citadel” will begin in early 2022, creators
Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru have revealed. The creators are currently in the
process of completing the script along with long time
collaborator Sita Menon
(“Go Goa Gone”) and will begin casting after that. The so-called “mothership”
version of the global spy series is U.S.-based and there are offshoots in
India, Italy and Mexico. “Every country’s series is its own
series with multiple seasons, but there’s going to be crossovers and
cross-references,” Krishna told Variety. “It’s an action thriller drama, about
super agents across the world,” Nidimoru told Variety. The U.S. component of the series,
currently under production, stars Richard Madden (“Bodyguard”), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (“The White
Tiger”), Stanley Tucci (“Supernova”), Ashleigh
Cummings (“NOS4A2”) and Roland Møller (“Sløborn”). Amazon is producing the show with
Midnight Radio. The Italian series will be co-produced with Amazon Studios
and Cattleya, part of ITV Studios, and the Indian
series by Nidimoru and Krishna with Amazon Studios. Meanwhile, Nidimoru
and Krishna are basking in the success of season 2 of another Amazon spy
series “The Family Man,” starring Manoj Bajpayee (“Aligarh”) and Samantha Akkineni
(“Oh Baby”), which began streaming earlier this month. |

The
Citadel page on IMDb has been updated, confirming
that the series has 7 episodes (not 10 as I’d seen speculated earlier, online)
with release early next year on Amazon: Citadel (TV Mini Series 2022– ) - IMDb I presume
the creature featured on the Citadel logo is a Manticore, as it appears to have
the tail of a scorpion; Manticore being Citadel’s
rival intelligence agency. The series
is supposed to have a supernatural undertone … so, perhaps, the Manticore is real? |

of Richard’s celebrity friends sent birthday wishes to him too; Gemma Chan,
Lily James, Priyanka Chopra and Taron
Egerton. Richard
was working on the set of Citadel yesterday.

was on set today, Saturday; so maybe Richard was too … |

Today is Richard’s 35th birthday, so here are my
two Instagram posts dedicated to him on this special day:
Those who
know the lyrics to ‘(They Long to Be)
Close to You’ will know it’s hair of gold but, as this is dedicated to
Richard, I’ve changed it to hair of red instead!!!
And here is a birthday cake which was delivered to
Richard today; a photo of it was posted on IG by the company which made it!

It’s been a very quiet month, with no sightings
of Richard on the set of Citadel; the American cars seen at the Moreton-in-Marsh Fire Service College resulted in no new
information either … It seems that the press is currently obsessed
with Harrison Ford filming the new Indiana Jones movie in northeast England
and Scotland!!! However, the
local press in Valencia has reported that permission for Citadel to film in
their city has been sought by the production company. It sounds like this is one of the
franchises and, as the ‘satellite’
shows are all connected to the ‘mothership’ show, I would expect that characters from the
main show will make an appearance too: One of the
great Hollywood shoots which plans to disembark in Valencia in summer is
Citadel, the new project of Anthony and Joe Russo for Amazon Prime, after
their foray into the cinema directing the Avengers saga (Infinity War and
Endgame) and Captain America: Civil War for Marvel Studios.
