I’m back already,
with another blog … Gemma Chan (Sersi)
has posted this photo via her Instagram account; the scene didn’t make it
into the movie, but the Eternals are supposed to be travelling down the
Amazon by boat, to find Druig (played by Barry Keoghan). It’s actually Frensham Little Pond in
Surrey.

the question “Why is Ikaris willing to swap with Druig, the tablet for a box of Twinkies?” … if he’d been
off-world for hundreds of years, he would not have eaten the American snack
cakes before – but now we know that he had been eating them on the journey to
see Ajak, accompanied by Sersi
and Sprite! And Ikaris is sitting
in the back seat of the vehicle because he can’t (having been off-world), and
doesn’t need to, drive … because he can fly!!! |

Happy New
Year!
Citadel having finished filming in mid-December,
it’s very quiet now. I presume Richard has finished his well-earned Christmas
and New Year family vacation too. Marvel Eternals is released on Disney+ this
coming Wednesday, 12 January, and will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4k
from early February. I don’t subscribe
to Disney+, so will have to wait until next month to view it again. There is a rumour that an extended version of
Eternals will be released … it will have an extra 17 minutes running time
(increased from 157 to 174 minutes) … the British Board of Film
Classification having awarded a new certificate. Disney has put forward numerous names for
consideration for this year’s Oscars; Richard being put forward as Best Actor
for Eternals. But with so many names
included on the list from Disney alone, it will be tough for anyone to get
onto the shortlist! I guess we are now waiting to learn what
Richard’s next project will be. And,
will he, won’t he, be reprising the role of Edward Fitz in the TV version of
From Now, on which he is an Executive Producer. I understand that Eternals director Chloe Zhao,
is working on a version of Dracula, set in the wild west; now that would be a
very interesting project for Richard, playing a vampire … a stunningly
handsome and totally irresistible vampire!!! Meanwhile, here is one of the missing scenes from
