Merry Christmas

Oh well, Covid lockdown in my area has changed a lot during the past week … up until last Friday I was in UK Tier 2, on Saturday in Tier 3 and then, on Sunday, Tier 4. But being a realist, and also a pessimist at heart, I hadn’t planned to visit anyone this Christmas anyway, having realised how risky that ‘devil may care’ approach would have been. I will be spending Christmas at home with my 92-year-old mother. Besides, distribution and administration of the Covid vaccine is very random, and she has yet to receive an appointment.

Plans have been disrupted for my close family, however, as everyone is now in Tier 4. There was also news today, that one of my nieces and her fiancé have caught Covid; so sending lots of love and best wishes for them, and hopefully they will both make a speedy recovery.

The first episode of From Now ‘touched down’ on Monday, with five more episodes promised – 28 December, 4 January, 11 January, 18 January and, fittingly, 25 January (Burns Night)! I can’t wait to find out what lies behind Edward Fitz’s mysterious return to Earth after 35 years!

Loving the graphic … although, technically, it’s a mirror image I believe! Richard has parted his hair on both sides, at different times during his career (which suggests a double crown … I have one too) and his hair is parted on the left these days, as is mine!

And, attention to detail, Richard’s left earlobe is joined, but his right is not … so this is his right earlobe … on the left! I love Richard’s ‘crinkly’ ears … and everything else about him too, of course!!!

Both of my earlobes are joined … the genetics theory is that to have joined earlobes, both of one’s parents must have them too … and both mine do and did!

If you wish to follow From Now, it is a podcast available on Apple, Spotify and other podcast platforms too. It’s great to hear Richard’s voice again, and his Scottish accent is particularly broad! The cast voices were recorded at home, in a Covid-safe environment.

Richard is extremely happy with the response to the podcast series, which is very pleasing too.

With Covid continuing to run rampant in California at present, the Russo Brother’s next production (The Gray Man) has been delayed; it was due to start filming in mid-January. According to a news report in Variety, Citadel is their second production project …

Still no sign of an Eternals trailer or the Calvin Klein advertising campaign; I can only assume the latter is linked into the release of Eternals in some way ... maybe just taking advantage of Richard’s profile skyrocketing following the movie’s release?

However, Marvel did announce an MCU-Themed Musical Performance for New Year’s Eve, which is due to be premiered on a Chinese video-sharing website (Bilibili) to celebrate the New Year. So the question is, will it contain an Eternals teaser trailer?

I know that Richard knows who many of the professional autograph hunters are, from experience … I had the misfortune to be standing close to a number of them at the Rocketman premiere and thus missed out on him visiting my immediate area of the crowd pen …

Yesterday, after a very quiet spell, it was announced that Richard and fellow Scot Brian Cox will be starring in a podcast Sci-Fi drama named ‘From Now’, which commences with episode 1 of 6 next Monday 21 December (and there is a link to the trailer too, within the article):

Sci-Fi is Richard’s favourite genre, and I know that he likes to keep busy … so a Covid-safe option is a good idea at this point in time, whilst he is waiting for Citadel to begin filming at some point next year! Richard has a beautiful voice, so hearing him again will be wonderful, despite there being no images!!!

In the meantime, here is a very beautiful image from 2015, taken during the Cinderella press tour!!!

There was no new news announced, regarding the live action Eternals movie, at last week’s Disney Investors’ Day meeting; the release date was reconfirmed as 05 November 2021.

However, an Eternals animated series is planned, and also a series of ‘shorts’ for Disney Plus starring my second favourite super-hero Groot!!!

I wonder if the very long-awaited Eternals trailer will be shown at the next Disney Shareholders’ Meeting scheduled for 09 March 2021 …
