Heading into the Bank Holiday weekend, and both Lily James and Richard have each shared a photograph from the same kitchen … it remains to be seen if this is from the July Scottish staycation or from a new staycation in Scotland … I love their friendship; they bonded when working on Cinderella, and I hope they can work together again in the future! Photographer Andy Gotts has been reminiscing about his meeting with Richard, in London, on this day last year … And Marvel has modified its Eternals logo … and the film is now named ‘Eternals’ not ‘The Eternals’ …

Following last Thursday’s blog, which mentioned the recent Scottish staycation, here are Gemma Chan and Richard calling to their favourite lamb … Richard appears to have named it Casanova!!! https://twitter.com/rmaddendaily/status/1294290069822545922 And Richard has posted a thank you to Land Rover, for the vehicle he used during his visit to Perthshire; here he is with Gemma’s partner, Dominic Cooper.

Another very good day … with new IG content from Richard! He’s returned to the gym, ahead of upcoming work, and also purchased two pairs of trainers from Harrys of London … Richard is a regular customer. Poor Richard, he goes through absolute hell in the gym … The second photo is my take on it … Richard posts and everyone in the Madden fandom celebrates, whilst experiencing palpitations … But his suffering doesn’t go unnoticed and we appreciate it 100% … On the subject of footwear … my favourite shoe manufacturer, Hotter, has fallen on hard times during the pandemic, with a major restructuring and 75% of its stores being closed.
It was hair-stylist Charley McEwen’s birthday yesterday … the big 50!!! Richard treated Charley to a pre-birthday lunch last Friday … And Richard’s parents and Richard too sent flowers on the day!
And Gemma Chan has been reminiscing about the recent houseparty in Perthshire … she made friends with a lamb during their stay and wants to know if they can adopt it, asking friends Jeremy Langmead and Billie Piper if one of them has room to keep it!!!

Stylist Gareth Scourfield posted a set of six photographs on Instagram from a British Esquire portfolio shoot in 2009 … this is the 22-year-old Richard! Gareth wrote: “A portfolio of actors for British Esquire shot 11 years ago. Magazines love shooting portfolios. Yet it can be rare to cast an ensemble of actors that are really only at the start of their careers, then to see each & everyone go on to create great works of storytelling as actors. This was one of them. My first time working with this talented bunch - two of which became clients of mine after this shoot & others I’ve worked with since. Today I’m sharing this photograph … because it’s very beautiful … and that is solely reason enough!!! The photograph originates from the BAFTA pre-Golden Globes event in California, held on 05 January 2019, and attended by the British nominees.

Yesterday was a special day … with Richard posting a number of photographs from his Scottish adventure on Instagram, plus a video too:

Richard and his ‘trusty steed’ … a Land Rover; he always drives a vehicle courtesy of Jaguar or Land Rover!!!	Seeing fireworks scares me … especially when he writes ‘What could go wrong’ …
Richard appears to have explored a spidery outbuilding too …	During the evening, Richard posted a video of the exploding rocket … so I guess everything was okay … as would be expected from the son of a fireman. Fortunate, as he wouldn’t wish to set the countryside alight … although it is pretty damp in Scotland, most of the time!!!
Maybe Richard posted this Instagram update because his holiday staycation in Scotland is coming to an end … the fireworks being a celebration of good times, spent with treasured friends. Richard is on top form at present, looking blissfully happy despite the restrictions of the lockdown … and no doubt very pleased to have escaped the Californian nightmare of Covid-19. And if Richard is happy, then I’m very happy too. Fingers crossed that Richard remains free of any UK-imposed local restrictions that may arise in the coming days or weeks. And, of course, it goes without saying that I hope he stays for a while … after all, there was a report that Citadel planned to use some UK locations during production!
